Our Story – The Beginning of Nihara

I’m Nivetha, the founder of Nihara, a women’s clothing brand born out of a lifelong passion for fashion, style, and comfort. From my school and college days, I’ve always loved dressing up and creating fresh, clean styles that reflect personality and elegance. But every time I bought clothes, there was one thing missing—comfort. The designs were pretty, yes, but the fabric felt wrong, the fit was off, the necklines didn’t sit well, or the shoulders just didn’t feel right. Each piece left me wishing for something better. That’s when I began designing my own outfits—choosing fabrics that felt good on the skin and tailoring them to my own fit. But even then, another challenge showed up: finding good tailors. The finishing never matched my expectations unless I approached professional designers, and they charged a premium. So I decided to bring everything I dreamed of into one brand—Nihara.
